Rackspace Cloud Sites Vs Red Hat OpenShift : Comparing the Paid Options

Rackspace Cloud Sites Vs Red Hat Open Shift is to some extent comparable because both of them are basically Platform as a Service, highest plan cost the same. We have talked a lot about the specific Cloud Computing Service Models that includes PaaS, aPaaS, IaaS. SaaS is not recommended to use for various practical restriction. The topic?Rackspace Cloud Sites Vs Red Hat Open Shift came out from a …

Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) : Detail Article

Service Oriented Architecture or SOA is an architectural pattern of information technology in the field of distributed systems for the services to structure of IT systems. A special role is played by the focus on business processes, their levels of abstraction are the basis for concrete service implementations : Forgive the loan for example, is located at a high level; behind it hides a banking enterprise, a business process with some of the people are involved and the information systems (Open the business relationship, Create one or more accounts, credit agreement and so on) are carrying the customer in to a service at a lower level. By assembling (or orchestration) of the services of lower levels of lower abstraction level, the whole system can be made quite flexible which allow maximum re-usability of higher abstraction levels. Previously we published an article on How Service Oriented Architecture Ties Cloud Computing, that is basically an example of  implementation of the Service …

Cloud Computing Vendor Lock-in : Present in Open Standards Too

Cloud Computing vendor Lock-in is nothing new. But thorough examination reveals that vendor Lock-in is present in open standards too. Data Portability in the Cloud is hampered when Vendor Lock-in is applied. There are many points to consider on the issue Cloud Computing Lock-in, to consider. Mostly exploited Lock-in in the Cloud Computing Platforms can be seen in PaaS and SaaS. It is usually taken that, Cloud Computing vendor Lock-in will be absent in Free Software with GNU GPL License. Unfortunately, most are not actually Free Software but Open Source and dangerously sometimes GNU GPL is used for a part, violating the terms and conditions.…

Protection of Sensitive Data in the Cloud

Protection of Sensitive Data in the Cloud is the key factor which determines the adoption of cloud services. Additional procedures are required for the process. But to protect a cloud environment effectively, it requires additional procedures such as identity and access management. Data Loss Prevention and Encryption must also be taken into account in the cloud. However, most study do not differentiate between private, public and hybrid cloud environments in context of protection of sensitive Data in the Cloud.…

Optical Networks and Low Latency for Data Centers

Optical Networks and Low Latency for Data Centers are requirements for new applications and wider variety of services, including those for cloud computing. Cloud computing is becoming to a segment the mainstream and it is considered by many to be the next big change that will involve in telecommunications networks. This service requires operators that connect data centers together, paying attention to the latency of the path and the system used and if necessary, applying corrective action to the network.…

Amazon Web Services :  Amazon Web Services mainly provides public Cloud Server and Cloud Storage services. Among the AWS services there are currently Amazon EC2 and Amazon S3. Amazon EC2 is a purely virtual environment  for providing Cloud Server and computing resources which can be drawn from the pool of so-called virtual instances as needed.  Amazon S3 on the other hand, provides a scalable storage infrastructure within the AWS and can be used as a single cloud storage or in combination with the other AWS services.
